Welcome to RoamBite. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit roambite.app or use our mobile application.
We may update this policy from time to time. We will note changes by updating the "Last updated" date above. Please review it periodically.
2. Information We Collect
The information we collect depends on how you use RoamBite, and includes:
- Account registration details (email, vendor name).
- Profile information (truck photos, menu items, descriptions).
- Approximate location — for vendors, the spot you choose to share when you go live; for diners, your device location (only with your permission) to show food trucks near you.
- Device information and a push notification token, if you opt in to notifications.
- Anonymous QR-scan analytics — scan counts plus coarse browser/referrer info and a one-way hashed IP. We never store raw IP addresses.
- Communications between you and RoamBite support.
3. How We Use It
We use the information we collect to operate and improve RoamBite, including to:
- Create and manage your account.
- Display your live menu, hours, and location to customers.
- Send service and account notifications, and — if you opt in — push notifications about trucks you follow.
- Count and analyze QR-code scans so vendors can see how their code performs.
- Monitor usage and improve the product.
4. Location Data
When a vendor goes live, the location they choose to share is published on their public menu page so customers can find them. Vendors control when their location is shared and can stop sharing at any time.
Diners may optionally grant location permission so the app can show nearby trucks. This is used on-device to sort and map trucks near you; you can decline or revoke it in your device settings without losing access to menus.
6. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.
7. Your Privacy Rights (U.S.)
We extend the following rights to all U.S. users, modeled on the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) — the most comprehensive U.S. state privacy standard. To exercise any of them, email privacy@roambite.app; we will verify your request and respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.
- Know & Access — request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we hold about you.
- Delete — request deletion of your account and associated personal information.
- Correct — request correction of inaccurate personal information.
- Opt out of sale or sharing — we do not sell or “share” (for cross-context behavioral advertising) your personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of.
- Non-discrimination — we will not treat you differently for exercising these rights.
9. Children's Privacy
RoamBite is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the updated date above.
