What is RoamBite?
RoamBite is a live digital menu and location platform built specifically for food trucks and mobile vendors. It lets you update your menu, mark items sold out, and broadcast your live location instantly to customers via a simple QR code or link.
Do I need special hardware?
No special hardware required! You just need a smartphone (iOS or Android) to run the RoamBite app for managing your truck. Your customers don't need anything except their own phone's camera to scan your QR code.
How long does setup take?
Most vendors are up and running in under 10 minutes. You just create an account, add your truck's details, snap a few photos of your menu items, and generate your QR code.
Is there really a free trial?
Yes! Every new vendor gets a 14-day full-access free trial — no credit card to start. You're only charged if you choose to subscribe; if you don't, the trial simply ends and you're never billed.
For vendors
How much does it cost?
RoamBite Pro is $9.99/month, or $79.99/year (save 33%). That includes unlimited menu items, live location tracking, QR code sharing, follower notifications, and your own custom roambite.app link. No hidden fees and no per-transaction charges — we don't process payments. Every vendor starts with a 14-day free trial.
How does billing work and where do I cancel?
You're only charged if you choose to subscribe — there's no automatic charge when your free trial ends. When you do subscribe, billing is handled securely through your device's app store (Apple App Store or Google Play), and you can manage or cancel anytime in your phone's subscription settings.
Can I have more than one truck/location?
Currently, each RoamBite account supports one active truck location and menu. If you operate multiple trucks simultaneously, you will need a separate account for each to ensure accurate live locations for your customers.
How do customers find me?
Customers can find you by scanning your QR code at your window, clicking your custom link (roambite.app/your-name) from your social media, or by following you in the RoamBite app to get notified when you go live.
What is the QR code and where do I put it?
We generate a unique QR code for your truck. You can download and print it to display on your truck window, A-frame sign, or napkin dispensers. When diners scan it, they instantly see your live menu.
For customers / diners
Do customers need the app?
No! When a customer scans your QR code or clicks your link, your menu opens instantly in their web browser. If they want to follow your truck and get notified when you go live, they can download the free diner app.
Do they pay anything?
Never. RoamBite is 100% free for diners and customers.
How do they know if you're open?
Your public page clearly displays a green 'Open Now' or gray 'Closed' badge based on your live status in the app. And if they follow you in the app, they'll get a push notification the moment you go live.
Accounts & devices
How do I sign in (magic link)?
We use passwordless login for security and speed. Just enter your email in the app, and we'll send you a secure 'magic link'. Tap that link in your email, and you're instantly signed in.
I switched phones — how do I restore my subscription?
Simply download the app on your new device, sign in with your email, and tap 'Restore Purchases' in the settings menu. As long as you're using the same Apple ID or Google account, your subscription will carry over.
Can I switch between vendor and customer mode?
Yes. RoamBite is one app with both experiences — switch between vendor and customer mode anytime from your account.
